Kazanchi Folk Tourism Area is the old town in Yining City with the most ethnic character, and most of the residents here are Uyghurs.
This is a local residential area that hasn’t been commercialized. Here, you can see blue "Xinjiang courtyards," colorful wooden doors, and locals sitting at the entrances of their courtyards chatting.
When visiting, you can park your car in the lot outside and walk into the alleys, or take the sightseeing shuttle offered by the area. We recommend walking, as you can stop anytime to see different scenes.
Uyghur courtyards are very beautiful and full of Xinjiang ethnic charm. If you see one you like, you can knock on the door and ask to take a look inside. Many locals here are very friendly and open to talking with visitors.
