*It is recommended to go in the morning, because the morning is the time when pandas are most active. We can see giant pandas eating bamboo and playing around, while many pandas are sleeping in the afternoon.

Description
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is in Chenghua District, about 10 km from the city center.
It’s more than just a place to see giant pandas. It’s an international center for panda conservation, tourism, education, and research.
The giant panda is a rare species found only in China and is called the country’s 'national treasure'. This base has the largest number of giant pandas in China. You can watch pandas of different ages eating bamboo, sleeping, or climbing trees. If you’re lucky, you might even see newborn panda cubs.
Directions
Metro: Take Chengdu Metro Line 3 to Junqu Zongyiyuan (Panda Base West Gate) Station, exit at A for a taxi or B to walk about 2 km; Bus: take the direct shuttle bus from IFS Chengdu to the Chengdu Panda Research Base.
