A city blending history and modernity, livable with world-famous cuisine.

Chengdu (成都), known as the Land of Plenty, is one of the most important cities in southwest China. This city has a history of more than 3,000 years, with the ancient Shu culture and the unique western Sichuan culture. It has been a gathering place for many historical scholars and politicians. The streets of Chengdu retain many ancient historical buildings and relics, such as Wenshu Monastery (文殊院), Kuanzhai Alley (宽窄巷子), and others, all very worth visiting.

With its long history and culture, Chengdu is also the hometown of China’s national treasure, the giant panda, and a world-famous food capital. The local cuisine is called Sichuan cuisine (川菜), famous for its “numbing” and “spicy” flavors. Most dishes use chili peppers, Sichuan peppercorns (花椒), and other spices. The rich flavors of the dishes can bring a taste shock, making many visitors want to taste them again and again. The world-famous Sichuan hot pot (四川火锅) is one of them.

Sichuan Province produces many handsome men and beautiful women. Many internet celebrities and stars are from here, such as Wang Hedi (王鹤棣), Zhao Lusi (赵露思), Luo Yunxi (罗云熙), and Li Ziqi (李子柒). So in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan (四川), you can see stylish, fashionable, and attractive young people everywhere. Around Taikoo Li (太古里) in Chengdu, you can often see handsome men and beautiful women internet celebrities filming videos and may even have the chance to meet Chinese internet celebrities or stars here.
