Huanghuang Village is one of the well-known lavender bases in Huocheng County. It’s one of the world’s three main lavender planting regions, along with Provence in France and Furano in Japan. It’s often called the “Provence of China.” The lavender fields grow beneath snowy mountains, letting you see the flowers, mountains, and grasslands all in one view.
Lavender blooms for a short time. Here, the main blooming period is from early June to early July, when the air is full of floral scent. There’s also a second bloom in August.
You can try lavender ice cream here, experience Kazakh ethnic culture, and even spend a night to enjoy the peaceful countryside of Xinjiang.
Huanghuang Village is near Sayram Lake(赛里木湖) and Guozigou Bridge(果子沟大桥), so you can visit them together.
